I'm loving it!!

Despite it being the eve of my 19th birthday I'm feeling very excitable indeed. This is all so new to me!! Investigating shapes through inspirational letters seems to never bore me. So many ideas, shapes and designs I must discover, draw and create!!

Letter G inspired design is starting to become my favourite so far! However talking to Shonagh made me realise LESS is MORE. I think I don't need to copy very single detail from my inspirational photo onto my design. I think it become sometimes too complicated and confusing. Another example where this happened was when I over worked a design inspired by my S.  It became too busy and culstered therefore losing its nice appeal. But I feel my over-worked designs made me learn what looks the best. I then started to edit and cut out areas to create a more successful design.

Also another difficulty I found was trying to create a nice flowing drape on my small mannequin doll. This is difficult to achieve with paper. However it did provide a a more structured solution adding to my design possibilities!!!!! To conclude from this day...I really LLLOVVVEEE paper! :D
