Monday 5th Dec 2011 - Triangles and Colour Sway!

I worked with the concept of triangle based shapes to create my 2D&3D pieces today. I started of using mirrored card and cut out triangle shapes. I was trying to create an overall diamond relief study. I was quite pleased on how my study turned out. It did convey a snowflake which was quite funny since it was snowing outside. It give me scope for my favourite piece so far which was using metallic thread on lilac paper. It created a line drawing of my mirrored card diamond piece. I'm pleased with how my thread piece study simplified my overall design.

Also talking to Shonagh, makes me want to break away from my pink/purple colour scheme running through my project. I think I need to bring in a completely new contrasting colour such as bright green or blue. I might complete a few tonal studies to help me decide on what colour I will bring in next?
